Nightlife and Entertainment in Delhi
Although clubs and bars are multiplying in Delhi, you still have to look hard for them. Whenever you feel like dancing, the best option probably is to go to one of the big hotels that presumably has a private club and bar. It is quite likely that you end up watching a Hindi film or a traditional dance performance, finished off with a beer or lassi and an early night of sleep. After all, it’s going to be a busy day again tomorrow.
On the other hand the night life had transformed so much in delhi over the recent years. So many lounge bars have come up in Delhi and they seem to be very popular amongst the people.Low seating and ambient music has become the trend setter.
Shalom
Low lighting and sinking sofas. East meets West and graphics loom on sunken wall screens. Shalom epitomises the coming of age of Delhi’s nightlife. On offer are Italian, Moroccon, Spanish and Lebanese cuisines.
Music : Ambient
Delhi Gymkhana Club
It’s not a Beer Garden , there was no other option so we had to click on this one because it closely resembled the amazing outdoor sunday lunches. Only for memebrs, Gymkhana club is one of the oldest clubs in delhi. Thursday nights in gymkhana rock..so if you can get hold of a memeber to get you in …you have a night.
Offers : Sports & Recreation
Please note : Members Only
Djinns
This is the place to be seen. Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are the best day to go there. On Saturday come early, as u might have to wait to get in. Quite expensive, but good live bands that change every three months. Just recently they hosted even a great Latin band…
Steel
A well designed modern bar with DJ and small dance floor, but many customers prefer to go neighbouring CAPITOL, but still a good place to start the night, especially on the weekend.
Laidback Waters by Shalom
Great for lounge lovers. Chilled out place , really laid back . The low seating with the low lit candles offer a very Moroccon feel.
Musiz : Ambient, Drum “n” bass
Food : Moroccon
Capitol
The latest and most happening place in town. On the weekend very crowded.
My Kind Of Place
This place is known for its Friday Hip Hop nights. A pretty dark place. May be you are charged a cover charge. Saturdays are only ok-ish.
Floats
Like the Djinns they host live bands, but sometimes the quality is not very high. There is no way than checking it out. Expensive.
